Benrinnes Distillery

Benrinnes Distillery

The Benrinnes distillery takes its name from the Benrinnes Mountain (the Ben) in Moray and draws its water from the Scurran and Rowantree Burns. The original Benrinnes distillery washed away in the 'great flood' of 1829 and rebuilt in 1835.

A form of partial triple distillation is used at the distillery and this adds a creamy rich creamy character to the whiskies. The distillery underwent major renovations in the 1950s and is currently owned by Diageo.
